To The Door?

Will I be able to get Stewards’ Market food shipped to my door?
At this point, no. There’s a few reasons we won’t ship food to your door.

  1. Shipping is an expensive and timely endeavor. One many small farmers can’t manage while growing healthy food. Eaters, in their act of stewardship, can help their growers manage this burden by assisting in the distribution.
  2. Rolling trucks to everyone’s door is not a sustainable model. Part of why we exist is to leave our nest better than we found it. Which means utilizing less impactful distribution methods.
  3. You can’t know your farmer if you never meet him or her.
One day, we may find it makes sense to offer a to-the-door delivery option, but not yet.
